Body:

Windshield frame chopped 5 scale inches with scratch built Carson top. Front fenders extended 1 scale inch & feature modified 1956 Olds headlights. Rear fenders extended 6 scale inches, & scratch built taillights are lowered 6 scale inches from stock position. The bottoms of the rear fenders have been lowered about 1 scale inch & the gravel shield has been also lowered 1 scale inch & molded into the body. The front gravel shield was smoothed & molded into the body. The grille opening is from the AMT 1949 Ford kit. The grille insert is the Louie Bettancourt custom grille from the AMT 1949 Mercury kit, & has been opened up from the backside. The hood, door & trunk corners have all been rounded. The front & rear bumpers are scratch built to represent smoothed 1951 Ford bumpers. The fender skirts are scratch built. The hubcaps are modified versions of 1956 Lincoln units from Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland. The center section was removed & positioned deeper into the hubcap to look more accurate. A bullet was added to the center, & resin copies made. The body was painted with HOK Candy Cobalt Blue on top of HOK True Blue Pearl. DuPont clearcoat. The top is Acryl flat white.

Interior:

The stock interior from the 1950 Ford kit was modified by adding V-groove sheets to the seats & door panels to represent tuck & roll upholstery. The door handles & window cranks are resin copies of scratch built units, & the armrests are from Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland. The steering column & shift lever were scratch built, & the kit horn ring was extensively thinned. The dash features resin copies of scratch built knobs, and the gauges are photoreduced acetate. The seats were painted with Acryl flat white & Blue Angel Blue. The piping is 32 ga. wire painted with Blue Angel Blue. The seats & door panels were sprayed with Acryl semi-gloss clear. 

Engine:

The engine block is from the AMT 1949 Mercury kit, The heads, also from the same kit, were extensively modified by reshaping the upper edge, adding scratch built ports, as well as inlets from another set of heads. All of the bolt heads were drilled out, & replaced with acorn nuts from Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland. The intake manifold & carburetors are from the Monogram 1950 Ford truck kit. The fuel pump, from the same kit was modified by adding a clear bowl & wire retainer. The water pumps are from the same Monogram kit, & most of the pulleys were scratch built. The belts are made from thin line masking tape, painted flat black. The generator, starter, & air cleaners are from Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland. The oil filler tube & cap were scratch built as well as the oil filter, dipstick, voltage regulator, starter solenoid, fuel block, and carburetor linkage parts.
